It’s really easy to use our friendly automated phone reservation system, and it's faster than waiting to talk to someone! Simply call our main number (215-730-0988) and hit option 2 for reservations. You’ll be prompted for your member ID and then your PIN. Press the pound (#) key after entering each response so the system will know you’re done.
What is my PhillyCarShare PIN? Your PhillyCarShare PIN is a four-digit number used to access your account via our automated reservation system. It is different than your password, which is what you use to log on to your online account. You can look up your PhillyCarShare PIN by logging on to your online account. Click on the “My Account” tab, and then click on the “Change Password” tab. From here you can view and change both your PIN and your password.
How is my PhillyCarShare PIN helpful? Using the PhillyCarShare automated reservation system is quick and easy! The automated system can be used to...
- Double-check the details of your reservation (if you forgot to print your email confirmation or made your reservation over the phone, you can hear your time, location, car type, etc.).
- Cancel or change your reservation details (including time, date, car type, and location).
- Making new reservations.
Hear about or change upcoming reservations:
- Dial (215) 730-0998, option 2, where you will be prompted to enter your membership ID number and PIN (both followed by the # sign).
- From here, you can hear information about your upcoming reservations (date, time, vehicle type, name of pod, etc.) You can also end a reservation early, or extend it if you need more time. You may also press 1 for “Additional Information” to hear more precise directions to the pod. The "additional information" option will also give you the Septa lines that access the pod.
Make new reservations:
- Dial (215) 730-0988, option. 2, where you will be prompted to enter your membership ID number and PIN (both followed by the # sign).
- Press option 1 to make a new reservation. The system will give you several easy-to-use search options:
- Search by pods saved in your account profile as “Favorites”, or by neighborhood, regional rail line, or city transit line.
- Search for vehicle types: you can select “any vehicle type” or any category (i.e. – “for hauling,” “for fun,” etc.).
- Search for date and time availability: you can either choose to start your reservation immediately and enter the number of hours you would like to reserve, or enter a specific date and time.
- When you select “reserve it,” you will hear a message that says “reservation confirmed”. The system will tell you the name of the pod, the date/time and the cost. Be sure to press 1 for additional information to hear the EXACT location of the pod. Be careful — the exact location might be different from the name of the pod! The additional information option will tell you which Septa lines you can take to the pod.
