If you answer Yes to all of the questions below, you are ready to apply for membership with PhillyCarShare! If you answer No to any of the questions, and want to check with us, do not hesitate to call us at 215-730-0988 or email us at info@phillycarshare.org.

• Are you under 21?
  • Have you been driving at least 2 consecutive years? If no, please apply when you have met this requirement. We'll be here!
    
    
  • Are you able to provide proof of insurance? If no, please wait until you're 21 to apply.
    
    
  • Would you be able to provide a signed consent form from the policy holder of your insurance? If no, please wait until you're 21 to apply.
    
    
  • Do you have a license from your permanent state of residence? If no, please see below:
    Permanent state of residence:
    You must have a license in your permanent state of residence. If you have just moved to Pennsylvania on a permanent basis, you must acquire a PA license within 60 days of joining.
    
    Foreign licenses:
    We'll need to see your home country driver's license, your international driving permit, and a copy of your home country's driving record (in English).
    
    
  • Have you had your current license at least 2 consecutive years? If no, please see below:
    Please provide previous license number(s) so we can search your driving records.
    
    How to find your previous license number(s):
    Previous insurer
    MDV online (usually a $10 processing fee)
    Ask family members, previous employers, etc.
    
    
  • Do you have a spotless driving record? If no, please wait until you're 21 to apply.

  • Do you have a clean driving record? if you have any of the following items listed on your driving record, we cannot extend membership to you at this time:
    
    Major moving violations:
    Vehicular manslaughter
    Excessive speeding
    Excessive disregard for red lights/stop signs
    Reckless Driving
    DUI
