free ride in Philly? We say you can.

PhillyCarShare serves over 40 SEPTA rail stations! To promote awareness and regional mobility, PhillyCarShare will cover your fare when you take SEPTA rail to an eligible PhillyCarShare pod!

Here's how it works... Access PhillyCarShare via SEPTA rail (not bus), and PhillyCarShare will cover exactly $3.50 for the associated one-way trip on SEPTA Regional Rail or $1.45 on SEPTA subway/elevated. Both directions of a rail round-trip are eligible. Your PhillyCarShare trip must be at least three hours.

To get your "free rail transit" rebate:

• Regional Rail: Simply mail in your ticket or receipt using a handy self-addressed, stamped envelope that you'll find in your PhillyCarShare vehicle's glove box. If you are using your own envelope, please complete the required information (name, member ID, reservation ID, date of trip, pod, boarding station, alighting station) and mail your tickets or receipts to:

• Subway/elevated: use the "honor system". Complete an online "Member Feedback" form, telling us a few details about your trip.

Rebates will be applied to your PhillyCarShare account the following billing cycle. Full details, terms, and the list of eligible pods are below.

Broad Street Line (Rebate = $1.45)

Market-Frankford Line (Rebate = $1.45)

Subway-Surface Green Lines (Rebate = $1.45)

Regional Rail (Rebate = $3.50)

Other Terms

• Rebate will not be issued in cash. Rebate will be credited to reservation holder and is not transferable.
• PhillyCarShare reservation must occur within 1 hour of the SEPTA trip, and rebate request must be submitted within one week of PhillyCarShare trip.
• Redemption is limited to up to five one-way trips per month per member (key fob holder with active membership) in good standing.
• Promotion is not valid for all PhillyCarShare pods; only select locations are eligible.
• Rebates are not eligible for requests that do not submit proper documentation or use proper processes, in the manners described above.
• Rebates are not available to transit pass holders for trips that otherwise are "free" using the transit pass.
• Timeline: offer begins July 10th, 2007 and is subject to change or termination without notice. $1.45 non-regional rail reimbursements begins October 1st, 2007- the effective date of the SEPTA token rate increase.
